The Lilac Dispatch Story

A little about me: I’ve been travelling around South America for the last two years and documenting all the best things to do, stay, eat and experience in this region, whilst working full time as a digital nomad.

The inspiration for this blog was the fact that I was already documenting everything on my notes app and Google maps to suggest recommendations to friends and family. Every couple of months, I receive the inevitable (but always welcomed) “Hey Pegs, where’s the best part of [X city] to stay in? Thinking of visiting for a couple of weeks!”

I thought to myself, why not have a dedicated blog page about this for everyone to access? I’ve got far more experience than most, having lived like a tourist and a local in each of these countries.

With this blog, I hope to share both the must-see destinations and the hidden places beyond the tourist trail. Alongside trusted recommendations and travel guides, I want to share the overlooked towns, quiet corners, and off-the-beaten-path experiences that made me fall in love with travelling through this continent.
